Katherine Applegate has written numerous children's and young adult novels. Ms. Applegate was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. You may be familiar with The One and Only Ivan, or Wishtree. Crenshaw is a book about a boy and his imaginary friend from his childhood. While Jackson and his family go through some struggles Crenshaw returns to help him through this difficult time.
